Creativity, Innovation and Invention

CREATIVITY:
Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others. In order to be creative, you need to be able to view things in new ways or from a different perspective

INNOVATION:

Something new or different introduced. Innovation = Invention + Exploitation. Innovation is the commercialisation of the invention itself. An innovation is also the product of creativity.
Creativity would then be the composite ability to innovate and/or invent.

INVENTION:
Invention refers to new concepts or products that derive from individual’s ideas or from scientific research.

James Dyson was creative enough to think of the ingenious invention.

It was invented to prevent toddlers or young children from accidentally cutting their fingers while putting their hand through the grilles for pleasure.
